Framer is useful when you want to recreate a polished marketing page quickly and keep editing it visually. A public URL can show composition, but it cannot provide the source team's private components, CMS, analytics, or business logic. The right workflow is a guided rebuild.
Start with the page's job
Write down whether the page collects an email, sells a plan, books a call, or explains a product. Inventory the page into header, hero, proof, feature sections, conversion block, FAQ, and footer. Mark repeated pieces and mobile changes before building.
Build components first
Create shared components for navigation, buttons, badges, cards, and repeated content. Use variants for hover, active, disabled, and mobile states. Establish type and color variables early so a later brand change does not require hunting through individual layers.
Treat interactions separately
A static reference may hide menus, accordions, carousels, forms, loading states, and errors. Recreate only the behavior your project needs, using your own data and routes. A visual match does not create authentication, checkout, or a working contact form.
Test every viewport
Compare mobile, tablet, and desktop widths. Look for overflow, tall headings, awkward button wrapping, and bad image crops. If you want an editable code-based baseline, paste a permitted URL into Kloner, then replace the source content and assets before publishing.
